Smart is a simple, easy to use accounting software system. Smart is an upgrade of the GAAP General Ledger and Reporting System, used by over four thousand users in the Republic of South Africa. The developer is a Chartered Accountant who designed the original “DOS” system in 1981.

We have two versions of Smart Accounting Software, Lite and Pro.

The Lite module is easy to use for beginners and is suitable for home accounting, students learning applications and reports for tax returns.
The Pro module is ideal for bookkeepers, accountants and entrepreneurs.The reports are sofisticated and and the financial reports are designed to international standards
The reports can be transferred in pdf format or text file

To Install:

Step 1. Download the program by going to the download evaluation command and choose between the mini or the advanced program. Click to download.

Step 2. After you have paid online you will receive a code. This is for licensing purposes.

Step 3. Exit the website and go to the exe file or zip file program on your computer. The program will be there and will install automatically. Follow the commands carefully and click on “next” button. One of the commands will ask you to restart your computer and then icon will appear “accounting for windows” will appear on your desktop - click on it.

Step 4. A command will appear on your desktop (if you have problems with the licensing, double click on the icon). Another information box will appear that will tell you that you have 20 transactions to work on.

Step 5. When you enter the program you have to create a “dummy company” to get going. After you have done this, click on the license button next to the tutorial icon.

Step 6. Another command will appear asking you for your email name. Enter the same email address you used for payment as the license code will be sent here.

Step7. Enter the license code that you have received – and you’re off!
